1/10 ~ Sun (core essential Self) ~sextile~ Neptune (vision & imagination):
This energy activates your ability to dissolve the ego (momentarily) and allow your SoulSelf to shine through! Your Spiritual center, base or practice comes up – how is it supporting you? If you’ve gotten away from your practice, this energy will make it easier to connect to your Spirit, your intuition and the vision for your life’s purpose, at this time. You may find where your contribution is most valued, when you step outside of your Self to see how others’ needs are important. Find a need and fill it … in your own deliciously unique way, as you will be more giving & compassionate, naturally under this influence. Your physical energy may be low as a result of Neptune channeling the Sun’s Source Energy inwardly to re-charge your Spirit. Otherwise, it could be projections of all kinds, yours and other people’s as well. Best to spend some intentional solitude, preferably in nature if/when/where possible.

1/11 ~ Mars (action & desire) ~square~ Neptune (dreams & illusions):

This is the heads-up from the other side of the table. Mars is in Sag right now, squaring off with Neptune in Pisces so we are looking at this one to guide us to a Higher Vision than what we may be able to perceive at this time and if we can grow in our consciousness, I think navigating the other 3-squares, when its in Gemini later in the year, will be more fruitful. Either way, this is your heads up on what may go through a serious process later on this year.

This can be an annoying energy, to say the least. Basically, you may be confronted with challenges which are a direct result of earlier choices. These are the kind of choices you eventually realized were wrong and “hoped” the consequences would somehow pass you by. Not. You may feel very discouraged, possibly depressed, and be filled with fear & doubt. The key to getting through this energy is to take a step back, reflect on your choices and what led you to this point and then, as objectively as possible, evaluate what went wrong. The tendency with this energy is to want to give up completely on the path you have chosen when all that is probably necessary is a little tweaking. Try to identify the aspect that is causing the conflict. If you don’t feel that you can be objective enough or that you struggle with identifying this aspect, try to enlist two other people to give you their opinion and then follow your gut instinct on the direction to take from here. The other temptation with this energy is to be deceptive – either to your Self or others. Either way – don’t give in – it will only come back to bite you (harder) later. Your physical energy is likely to be low as well. Do not force your Self to do anything you are truly not “feeling” right now. Instead, meditate on what action may be necessary when your energy returns. Be still. Avoid confrontations with others as it is just the energy pushing you out of comfort zone, into new territory. This is a test of sorts and the best way to deal with it is to face your fears and clarify your desires. My personal two-cents about these two planets (Mars & Neptune) in a difficult angle, is to reflect on what actions (Mars) have been taken (and NOT worked) toward the fulfillment of your dreams (Neptune) – and start your “tweaking” there.

1/11 ~ Vesta Enters CAPRICORN (until 3.10.2022):
This is special because it lends extra weight to the Venus Soul Work that we are already doing. Vesta spends about 2-months in a Sign and helps us re-connect with that Essence within us. It intensifies the focus & determination in the Capricorn House, which can be a mixed blessing. On one hand, you may be able to finally put something important into a structure or foundation that stabilizes things for a minimum of 4-years, but on the other hand, if you have avoided responsibility or making certain choices, things could get a little uncomfortable until you commit to a new direction.

1/14 ~ Mercury Retro in AQUARIUS (until 2.3.2022):
Refer to Jan 2nd entry for more on Mercury in Aquarius specifically but here I would like to focus on the fact that we’ve gotten two years in a row with Mercury going backwards in Aquarius, breaking up & shaking up any old rigid ideas or thought patterns. Now, we will be asked to commit to certain ideas and to create containers for the ones we have developed the most. So I suggest using this review to dig-in to any stuck places within you or your consciousness and clear anything keeping you from deepening your dedication going forward.
