8/14 ~ Sun (core essential Self) ~oppose~ Saturn (physical limits & definition of reality):  This is an annual process of development. The Sun makes it personal and about you the individual. Saturn helps move your timeline along and build the literal aspects of life, the basics of providing for yourself (food, shelter etc) and your personal limitations. What renewed aspect of Self got activated about 6-months ago and how do you want that to fully develop over the next 6-months? This is a potent midpoint, the most powerful course-correcting time in any cycle, this one being an annual meeting between Sun & Saturn, a check-point between you and your responsibilities. Each year, you evolve, some years more consciously than others so this is a good time to check-in with your own personal definitions of what you are or are no longer responsible for. Often, this energy activates a push-pull between who you are and who you want to be; between what you want to do and what you have to do. My age-old advice is to: do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do. And while it may not be the easiest path, it’s usually worth it for the peace of mind that it brings. You may swing between extremes of fulfilling all your obligations to the neglect of your own Truth & Purpose -or- neglecting your obligations and doing whatever you choose, which only means those obligations will be there when you get to them and they will have most likely increased by the time you do. Balance is the key! Practice, there is no perfection and it’s time to practice handling business before pleasure.

8/14 ~ Mars (energy) ~trine~ Pluto (transformation):
This is an active, transformative energy that will help you to change your life in a healthy, positive way. You may have the energy & inclination to make major personal (and permanent) changes to who you are and what you want on a deep Soul level. Because it’s a Trine, it promises more ease than is usually associated with Pluto, and in this case, makes transformation smoother. You may be especially focused on what needs to be done or changed in your life at this time. You will want to take action and the Universe supports that decision, as long as it is righteous and not totally self-serving. This is a good time to get moving, take action regarding your long-term goals – and you will be able to create some momentum. You may realize some of your recent actions or choices do not necessarily support your deepest drives or desires. As you get in alignment within & without, the results can be miraculous, so be creative ~ be brave!

8/16 ~ Mercury (voice) ~trine~ Uranus (individuality):
This activation gives you access to your Higher Mind and opens the way for new, deeper insights that can guide & direct you at this time. Business as usual will not work, it’s time to open up to the unusual, do something different, look at things from another angle and watch the ah-ha’s start pouring in. Your intuition will be firing on all cylinders, giving you access to unprecedented clarity. While your thinking may lack discipline, your ability to access solutions to any recent (or long-standing) challenges may be off the charts. This energy will not be contained, even though it is generally all mental, you really will have a hard time keeping up with the ideas, thoughts, concepts & intuitions that come to you under this influence so try to take notes that you can refer to later when the grounding will be necessary. Pay attention to the messages that come through/from others as well since you never know how the Universe will show up. This alone is an indication that whatever your consciousness may not have been previously ready to assimilate or process is awakening now to that which is just for you!

8/18 ~ Venus (socialize) ~trine~ Jupiter (optimism & travel):
This is usually a pleasant energy, although short-lived. This is a good time to enjoy some kind of social activity. No pressure – just easy, laid-back fun. It can make you prone to laziness or excess, but only if you’re already prone to that. Otherwise, if you are typically busy and constantly on the go, this energy actually gives you permission to kick back a little and release the usual pressures to produce. Take some time out to “smell the roses” or at least reflect on all that you have accomplished and give your Self due credit for coming this far. This is a good time to travel, go on a vacation or take a short trip. This energy tends to bring forth earned blessings. Take a moment to give thanks to the powers that be which brought you to this point!

8/20 ~ Mars Enters GEMINI (until March 25, 2023):
Mars moving into Gemini will kick off some additional energy around who you are, what you want and how you go about getting it accomplished. In this case, it is all in the presentation – how you communicate & express your desires will have a tremendous impact on whether they manifest or not. So of course, Mars’ usual aggressiveness will only be appropriate under the right circumstances. Otherwise, keep in mind there is power in the spoken word so be more expressive, play with language and discover new ways to express who you are. You’ll have access to some brilliant intellectual creativity so activate your innate curiosity about life and allow your imagination to guide you periodically.

This will also be a time and energy that allows you to do more personal processing than usual. The focus will be ‘all about you’ as it were, so investigate your own Nature. Check-in with your own Mental Health. Ask your Self questions – do you still want what you say you want? Are you pursuing what you really desire or settling for what’s available? Do you have your own standpoint or are you a follower? You’ve probably heard me say to never make your Nature “wrong” – your Nature is your Nature and you’ve come to learn how it works. Mars helps us learn about our Nature.

Normally, I’d say for the next 2-months, explore new ideas or possibilities and experiment without attachment when you can. But Mars is going Retrograde in Gemini extending its stay 7+ months which constitutes more of a major Mental Upgrade so we are calling in a New Cycle of Mental Clarity, Creativity & Consciousness and letting go of an OLD one that goes all the way back to 1990-91. If you’re old enough to remember what kind of mentality that you had back then and just how much you’ve learned and your consciousness has evolved over the last 30-years, then you can take advantage of this initiation. Keep in mind the Shadow of Mars in Gemini is fighting with words or being internally split, divided within or generally indecisive so be mindful of that in your Self and others.

This is very special because, along the way, Mars in Gemini will Trine Saturn in Aquarius to help us re-organize our ideas and fortify our containers. It will Sextile Chiron in Aries to help us heal some aspect of consciousness so that we can remain sovereign & independent. It will Square Neptune/Juno/Vesta in Pisces indicating the biggest recalibration of all – this is our mental health, individual wholeness and personal boundaries within relationships & communities. It is time for an upgrade!
*This is going to be most relevant for anyone with strong Gemini/Sag and Virgo/Pisces. For the rest of us, it is an upgrade in those Departments of Life (Houses).
