7/6 • Sun (energy & individuality) ~square~ Saturn (reality & purpose):
With this energy, it is best to understand that you may have two distinct pulls within – that is: obligation to others versus responsibility to Self. It’s not nearly as bad as it feels, however, it does bring up something that we all work really hard to balance to some degree or another – SELF & OTHERS. How much do you owe your Self and how much are you obligated to others? Balance & reciprocity come to mind as guides. One of the challenges of this influence is making negative assumptions that there is no support for you when, in truth, you may not have asked for any help and *help must be invited*. Saturn brings up our relationship to Time, and some people may feel restricted, as if life/other/outer is all too demanding and there’s never any time just for the individual. This activation is a push to grow. It’s time to hold your own structure in some way and reclaim your Inner Authority to direct your own life. Others may find their lives falling apart because they have avoided responsibility for so long and now there’s no more “wiggle room”. Rather than have a meltdown, take a nap and resolve to wake up with a plan, a strategy for taking the next step, even if that means simply asking for help or guidance from someone older & wiser. It’s time to deepen your dedication and commit to your Self in a whole new way. Recognize any current limitations and work with the resources at hand for now. The Sun usually illuminates the core essential nature or Self, so see where you may be stuck and need to break out of a rut of some sort and trust that taking charge, making a decision & choosing a direction is (actually) *inviting help* from the Universe to support your new direction.
7/7 • Neptune Rx ARIES (until 12/12):
As Neptune begins its sacred inward journey, we too are called to turn inward to listen more deeply, to feel more wholly & to reweave, fortify & strengthen the threads that connect our Human form with our Eternal Spirit. This year’s Neptune Retrograde is especially significant, as it is the first full review in Aries, stirring a great transition not only within us, but within the Collective Soul as well. Neptune governs the invisible realms like the dreamtime, mystical currents & the ocean of consciousness from which all form arises. It dissolves the veils between worlds, between ego & soul, between matter & meaning. While the Moon reflects the personal womb space, which is our own rhythms, needs & emotional memory, Neptune governs the collective womb. This is where humanity goes to remember who we really are, before the world told us otherwise. Each year, when Neptune goes Retrograde, we are gently invited back into this cosmic womb to remember our original essence, reclaim our connection to Source & renew the dream that called us here in the first place.
Neptune Retrograde is not like Uranus or Pluto Retrogrades, which can often jolt or confront us with change and force us into sudden awakenings. Neptune’s Medicine is more subtle, like water wearing away stone or a fog that blurs the edges of certainty until only essence remains. It is gentle but profoundly effective. It works from the inside-out, asking you to dissolve your grip on what you think is real and to open up to what is eternally true, within and around you. This is not the time to charge ahead. This is the time to slow down, pause & process your feelings about the changes occurring at this time.
Where Neptune Direct encourages you to pursue dreams & spiritual visions outwardly, Neptune Retrograde is an invitation to tend your own inner temple, dream in private, restore & reimagine from the inside-out. Read for the sake of remembering. Sing for the joy of your Soul. Dance not for performance but for release. Create, not for the gallery, but for your own sacred healing & integration. This is spiritual nourishment. This is soul hydration. These next 5-months are a time to cleanse, to reconnect with your Spirit Team and to listen for the whispers of your SoulSelf, which is the you that existed before distortion & distraction. If you make regular space for these connections, your new vision will grow stronger, clearer & more rooted in your own truth & purpose.
The womb is not just a space of holding, it is also a space of letting go. As you move through this Neptune Retrograde period, let what needs to dissolve & flow on out to make room for new energy & flow to come through you. Let the masks fall. Let the illusions be washed away. Trust that what remains will be your most essential Self, who is strong enough to birth what is next, soft enough to receive the guidance from Spirit & wise enough to follow it with courage & faith in the ultimate vision for your life. You do not need to rush. You are in rhythm with the Cosmos. So for now: rest, dream, journal, paint, walk in Nature, pray, make offerings. Let yourself be quiet enough to hear your own Soul speak. When Neptune goes Direct at the end of the year, you will emerge with a clearer sense of what is spiritually true for you and what is ready to take form in the new world that you are helping to birth.
7/9 • Venus Enters VIRGO (until 8/6):
Venus (values, priorities, resources, love, art, beauty, culture) in Virgo (earthy wisdom, systems for living & natural timing) is a time to focus on healing the mind/body connection and perfecting the Spirit-in-Human-form. The current values & priorities should focus on how well your own systems for living are serving you and where you may need to simplify your life in order to be more effective. As Virgo precedes the Libra focus of relationships and the response of others (to you), I recommend you keep the focus on you for now, and what your mind, body & spirit can actually handle & manage on a day-to-day basis. It’s time to release the nonessential, extraneous or redundant and make room for more quality nutrient, inner clarity & self-discipline. It’s time to focus on quality control and question everything ~ is it worth it? Is it practical? Does it make sense for me personally? Is it natural? Is it really important or valuable? Venus rules our romance & finance departments and in Virgo, you have to ask: does it actually work?
