For people new to the community, you can join my eList HERE to be kept in the loop. I usually send out the SEPTEMBER Monthly Missive during the first week of each month, but if/when things come up in-between, you may get the occasional additional email but that is rare.

September activates harvest, integration & the next level for everyone! As we move into Fall, the energy shifts from expansion & outward movement to assessment, integration & conscious preparation. This is a powerful transition point. The season is asking us to gather what we have created, evaluate what is actually working, release what is no longer useful & begin preparing for the next cycle. The question is not simply What have I accomplished? but What have I learned, what has become embodied wisdom and what is now ready to become the foundation for what comes next? Fall Equinox reminds us that rhythm is a beautiful thing. There is a time to initiate, a time to cultivate, a time to harvest and a time to rest. When we honor that rhythm, life progresses much more smoothly.

One of the most supportive energies surrounding this month is the Jupiter/Saturn activation (8/31), which offers an opportunity to bring dreams down to Earth. Jupiter expands possibilities & reveals potential, while Saturn asks us to give those possibilities structure & form. When your Truth, Purpose & daily choices are moving in the same direction, life begins to develop its own natural rhythm & steady momentum. This is an excellent time to clarify your intentions, identify the small steps that make the larger vision possible & determine where you need to expand versus where you need to consolidate. With Jupiter & Saturn, we will have to do both! Take some intentional solitude to hear your own guidance without being distracted by what everyone else is doing. Your next level does not require comparison, it requires conscious participation in your own path’s unfolding.

At the same time, Mars squaring off with Saturn may make progress feel slower than you would prefer. You may encounter limitations, delays or circumstances that seem to block your forward movement, creating frustration or even anger. But this is not necessarily a definitive ‘no’, sometimes it is just a ‘not yet’. Rather than pushing against every obstacle, use this energy to review your plans, identify what needs strengthening & break the grand vision into smaller, manageable steps. Some of the limitations may be external, but others may be rooted in fear, inadequacy or old beliefs about what you are capable of doing, being or manifesting. This is a powerful opportunity to separate actual circumstances from the stories you have created about or around them. Build strength & fortitude behind the scenes & strengthen your own personal foundation. Mars brings the energy for change and Saturn brings the patience to take it one step at a time.

Chiron Retrograde is re-entering Aries and bringing us into the final stretch of a profound healing cycle that began in 2018. Chiron represents our Healing & Educational Path, the wisdom that we gather on the journey toward wholeness. This final pass through Aries gives us an opportunity to review how much we have learned about courage, independence, identity, self-trust & new beginnings. During the healing process, it can be difficult to recognize how much has actually changed because we are so close to the experience. Now you may begin to notice that old wounds no longer carry the same charge, certain fears no longer dictate your choices and some of the things that once felt impossible are simply part of who you have become. Take inventory & notice what still hurts, but also acknowledge what does not hurt anymore.

The Fall Equinox amplifies this process of Gather, Harvest, Evaluate & Integrate. Look back over the 6-9 months and ask: What have I produced? What worked? What didn’t? What am I ready to preserve? What needs to be released? Some of your harvest will be tangible, as in: projects, relationships, resources & accomplishments, while others will be intangible, as in: the wisdom, resilience, self-knowledge & expanded consciousness that you have cultivated over that time. Both are valuable. Libra, the Sign associated with the Equinox, reminds us that everything is interconnected. What is out of balance within us eventually affects the larger field around us. This is a beautiful opportunity to re-center, restore equilibrium & become more effective in how you participate in Life, as well as your chosen relationships.

Then Mars enters Leo, bringing some welcome Fire back into the picture. After the more emotionally inward experience of Mars in Cancer, this shift can feel like a breath of fresh air. Mars in Leo wants us to create, express, play, move & reconnect with the joy of being fully ourselves. This is an opportunity to magnetize your desires by allowing your Authentic Self to shine rather than trying to become what you think others want. If you have been over-accommodating, giving too much or exhausting yourself trying to meet everyone else’s needs, Mars in Leo gives you permission to pull some of that energy back & reconnect with your own self-love & creative fire. The Shadow, of course, is ego, when folks are looking the part without actually being the part. This is not about demanding that everyone else change, it is about leading by example.

As Venus moves into Scorpio, the relationship & resource work we have been doing becomes deeper, not just because it is in Scorpio but because she is also going to linger here for her Retrograde, which only happens every 18-months. So we say, every 18-months, our personal, individual values & priorities shift and it can be fairly internal. Then, she has her larger cycle of 8-years that can be more external & shifts that include or affect other people in your life. The last time she Retrograded in Scorpio was in 2018. Venus asks us to examine our values, priorities, love, relationships, resources & magnetics, while Scorpio takes us beneath the surface to uncover what has been hidden. What you attract & create is often a reflection of what you believe that you are worthy of receiving. This is a potent time to identify self-sabotage, unconscious patterns, buried fears & outdated definitions of love, abundance, beauty & security. Ask yourself: What do I really want? Why do I want it? What am I willing to release to make room for it? How am I participating in creating or attracting it? Scorpio reminds us that honorable sacrifice clears space for new life.

Venus will also square off with Pluto, intensifying this process of transformation around relationships, finances, resources & personal power. This can bring hidden insecurities or fears to the surface, particularly where we have been holding onto something because it feels familiar rather than because it is healthy or aligned. Pluto does not tend to negotiate with what has already completed its purpose. The invitation is to choose purification consciously rather than waiting until resistance makes the process much more painful. Look honestly at what is changing. Pay now or pay double later is often the Pluto lesson. If your values have evolved, your relationships & resource agreements may need to evolve along with them.

The larger backdrop is Neptune & Pluto, one of the most important collective activations of this era. Neptune in Aries is awakening new dreams, spiritual possibilities & visions of what humanity could become, while Pluto in Aquarius is transforming the collective story at a soul level. Together, they create a supportive bridge between what we can imagine & what we are capable of becoming. This transformation is not necessarily dramatic or immediately obvious. It is more like a slow simmer, with a gradual change in our beliefs, priorities, values & definitions of reality that becomes increasingly visible in hindsight. We are participating in the ending of one era and the beginning of another.

This makes personal consciousness especially important. Do your Shadow Work consistently, clean your filters & question your own assumptions. Ask where your beliefs came from and whether they still represent your Truth. Neptune reminds us that perception shapes reality, while Pluto asks us to examine what may be hiding beneath that perception. This is excellent energy for meditation, journaling, mentorship, spiritual practice, Ancestral reverence work & any process that helps you become more conscious of your own inner landscape. We cannot control the collective transformation, but we can become more conscious participants in it. The future will be shaped by individual contributions and the choices you make now, matter more than you may realize.

Finally, Mercury enters Scorpio, bringing the mind into the same deep waters. Mercury in Scorpio wants to investigate, research, question & uncover what is actually happening beneath your thoughts, words, choices & perceptions. What have you learned about your own power to create your world? Which mental attitudes have run their course? Whose voices are still living inside your head? What are you allowing into your Mental Body through what you read, watch, listen to or discuss? This is powerful Shadow Work territory and an invitation to become your own Inner Detective, not to judge what you find, but to gather information.

Mercury in Scorpio also reminds us of the creative & destructive power of language. The words we use can reinforce old realities or help create new ones. Notice how you speak about your body, money, relationships, sexuality, creativity, purpose & future. What language no longer represents who you are becoming? What story needs to die so another can live? As Mercury moves through Scorpio, you may uncover some raw truth, but you may also discover buried treasure in the form of ideas, wisdom, talents & resources that were hidden beneath old conditioning. This is a conception point for a new way of thinking, perceiving & processing what you have learned, at a minimum, in the last 3-months.

Taken together, these energies create a beautiful Fall threshold: harvest what you have cultivated, release what has completed, heal what remains tender, strengthen what is working & begin consciously preparing for what comes next. You do not need to have the entire future figured out, you just need to be attuned to your Body & Spirit and connected to your own Inner Authority.
So let’s recap:
Jupiter & Saturn remind you to build what you can see.
Chiron reminds you to honor how far you have come.
Venus & Pluto ask you to release what no longer reflects your true values.
Neptune & Pluto invite you to dream beyond the old paradigm.
Mars gives you the courage to express your authentic Self.
Mercury asks you to become conscious of the thoughts & words shaping your own reality.

September is preparation for October, when both Mercury & Venus will Retrograde in Scorpio and take us right back over recent territory to do a personal review. This is the month to work with what you’ve got & look for ways to expand. Gather your harvest & give thanks for what has already been developed. Compost what has completed its purpose & re-center your Self. Then, with your newly integrated wisdom, begin imagining what you want to cultivate next. The next chapter does not need to be forced into existence. It needs a strong enough foundation to manifest & expand on. Fall Blessings!
